Anyone can setup a fundraiser for Women's and Children's Alliance. It's quick and easy!
My best friend Sue Newby (SueB, that's her on the right in the photo) died mysteriously on April 4, 2008 while horseback riding with her husband in Eagle, Idaho. While it was never proven, her friends and family suspect that Sue was a victim of domestic violence. To preserve her memory and to help other women, Sue’s sister Marj, friend Teresa and I established the SueB Memorial, an annual event that raises funds for the SueB Endowment at Boise’s Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA).
This is our fourth year and promises to be bigger and better than ever. The 2013 SueB Memorial takes place October 6 and features a 5k Run/Walk along the Boise Greenbelt. Thanks to our new partner the Ada County Paramedics Association, we’ve added live music, food vendors, a bungee trampoline, rock-climbing wall, face painting and more! Details can be found on the WCA website: www.wcaboise.org
I’ve created this site for those of you who cannot attend the SueB Memorial but would like to make a donation. Any amount you can give will help women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Your friend, sister or mother may be a victim and you may not know it. We didn’t suspect that Sue was a victim until it was too late.
