A charity is an established 501c3, tax deductible nonprofit. A cause is a worthy reason to raise money but not an established charity and therefore a cause is not technically tax deductible. All final deductibility should be determined by a tax professional.
Link your organization's bank account to your GiveStorm account through your Dashboard. It only takes a moment and your first deposit will come 7 days later and every day subsequent.
There are no setup fees or subscription costs. It is easy to sign up and get started. GiveStorm simply offers 4.7% on all contributions. The contribution is then deposited into your account minus the 4.7%.
Example: $10 donation at 4.7% ($0.47)= $9.53 deposited into your account.
The percentage goes to administration, future development, network costs, and credit card processing fees.
You should always consult a qualified tax professional regarding tax contributions. If you are giving to a verified 501c3 Charity, it is usually fully tax deductible for individuals residing in the United States. If you are giving to a Cause, it is probably not tax deductible. In all cases, you should consult your tax professional with any questions.
